RNC RESOLUTION COMMENDING REPUBLICAN MEMBERS OF CONGRESS FOR THEIR OPPOSITION TO BAILOUTS AND RECKLESS SPENDING
WHEREAS, the 2008 Republican National Platform advocates “lower taxes, reasonable regulation, and smaller, smarter government” and calls for tax relief, not big government spending, as key to growing the economy; and
WHEREAS, the Republican National Committee unanimously adopted a resolution in January, 2009, urging all Republican Members of Congress to oppose all bailout bills; and
WHEREAS, a number of bailout and “stimulus” bills considered by Congress during the past year have set our Nation on a march to socialism and have met increased Congressional Republican resistance:
