He’s far too liberal for me. I like the man, I deeply respect his service and cannot imagine being a war prisoner in Viet Nam, let alone as long as he was. I truly believe he wants to do the right thing, but I want a full-strength conservative who seeks to restore the Constitution, would have the strongest military in the world. and would squeeze a nickel until it screamed.
When I voted for McCain, I confess, when the choices aren’t great, I’m goin’ with the guy that served.
What military service? It doesn’t take a hero to get shot down and then betray other POWs.

I didn’t like the idea of campaign finance reform. Companies, unions and anyone else should be allowed to spend as much as they want. First amendment rules. It’s not their fault that a large percentage of population is stupid enough to believe ads on TV.
The 2008 election was a joke. It was like choosing between Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin.
I also respect his military service but I disagree with him on too many issues to say I am one of his supporters.
He was responsible for one of the largest attacks on the First Amendment ever in the guise of campaign reform and not he has decided the US government needs to have complete control over vitamins and supplements.
He was barely better than Obama; I really had to hold me nose to vote for the guy.

Like you I have immense and deep respect for McCain, based on his military service to our country.
He "bleeds red, white and blue" ( not like thingy 2 who bleeds PINK ) and would never think twice about something to denigrate the U.S.
As a politician, he works as hard at trying to process his obligations and duties as he does trying to respect the Constitution.
As a POTUS candidate, McCain simply lacks that "animal magnetism" that people feel with a true leader. He just can’t "connect" and that is simply a critical factor these days.

I agree. He’s a progressive, he wouldn’t be any safer of a bet than obama.
I like him for serving in the army though.
