How is learning basic math, spelling, reading and writing considered acts of 'liberal indoctrination'?

Since some conservatives believe that our entire nation’s history has taken a ‘left-wing’ slant, what about basic math, spelling, reading, and writing?

Should they also be condemned for being part of the liberal plot to ‘indoctrinate’ our nation’s kids in a vain effort to brainwash the whole lot of them…?

If so, what can conservatives do to *avoid* such subjects? Do they have replacements upon which to drill into their kids that could equal the above list of school curriculum?

First of all, I could read, write and do basic math before I ever entered kindergarten. More children should be so fortunate.
Second, the liberal indoctrination comes from how our HISTORY is taught, IF it is taught. A good example is Benedict Arnold; school never taught me what his act of treason was. The Constitution? That was my father; he literally would quiz me on it while cutting firewood. The US Code? Again, my father.
However, public school was more than willing to show me how to use a condom (which my father also taught me) and where my closest planned parenthood was. They were willing to tell me of the wrongs of the settlers against the natives, but neglected the wrongs of the natives towards the settlers. My "social studies" teacher spent more time on socialism and its economics than he did Adam Smith. That’s what I can remember right now.
If the system refuses to teach the Constitution at least, how can we honestly say they are serving America interest for next generation?

You obviously know nothing about the curriculum of the average Pubic Skrewl.

You really need to Google the word ‘fallacy’, because that’s all you seem to commit to.

What ever you read or watched that said math, spelling, etc is what Republicans are worried being taught in our schools IS liberal indoctrination and a smear. That’s nonsense.

You really should try to inform yourself of the facts behind an issue before commenting.

It would make you appear informed and knowledgeable.

When I was a kid in the ’70s, my dad worked for the U.S. Forest Service. There was an old, black & white, famous photo floating around the organization back then, and it appeared in publications, on the covers of reports, hanging on walls in people’s offices, and so forth.

The photo was of several men holding hands in a line around a giant Redwood tree trunk. There was a ’53 Chevy Forest Service truck in the background, and a Stihl with what looked to be about a 25-inch bar on the ground in the foreground. The caption always read "These men are holding hands in a human chain around this Redwood in an effort to demonstrate its sheer size."

Sometime in about the mid-’90s, I was flipping through one of my young cousins’ social studies textbooks, probably about a 4th or 5th-grade year. I FOUND THAT EXACT PHOTO, and the caption read "These men are holding hands around this Redwood tree in an effort to protect it from being cut down by loggers."

Except that it was obviously taken at a timber sale, and the men were wearing hardhats bearing the unmistakable Southwest Logging Company logo. They WERE loggers in the first place.

If that is not liberal indoctrination, then I’d like to know what is.

I received my education when conservatives ran the school system, it seems now that the left is turning out PC zombies that are dependent on someone else to take care of them.
