Republican Party State Chairman Gary Jones has filed a lawsuit against Gene Stipe, Tim Arbaugh, Jeff McMahan, Lori McMahan, Randy Dittman, Clifton Scott, Ry-Son Oil Company.
The above individuals are alleged to have come up with a scheme to limit their competition in the 2002 election. Malicious intent was used to defeat Gary Jones and elect Jeff McMahan as State Auditor.
I the 2002 election McMahan in a meeting at a restaurant in Shawnee was given $10,000.00 in cash for Jeff’s campaign with said donations was a violation of the states election contribution laws.
McMahan received a total of $157,000.00 of ill-gotten and illegal donations to help defeat Gary Jones in the November 2002 election.
Gary Jones lost the election by only 28,000 votes out of a total of 1 million votes that were cast.
