Five people were killed Saturday morning when a small plane crashed in Chandler Park.
Authorities initially identified the victims as two adult males, one adult female and two juvenile females. All were from Tulsa.
The six-passenger Piper left Jones Riverside Airport at 10:37 a.m., headed for Dallas, Lt. George Brown of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said from the scene.
The plane apparently struck a guide wire of a tower that wasn’t visible because of fog and went down southwest of the baseball field in the park at about 11 a.m., the OHP spokesman said.
Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration were on the way to the scene and the park was expected to be closed through the weekend, Brown said.
